COURSE DESCRIPTION: Do you need a will and a trust? You might need one (or both), and how to avoid common pitfalls. Plan for power of attorney and health care directives. Learn the basic concepts and terminology behind estate planning so you can ensure a smooth transfer of your assets onto your loved ones. Learn how wills differ from trusts, why even young adults need a Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive, and what to consider when completing beneficiary designations on retirement or investment accounts. And, most importantly, what happens if you don’t have an estate plan.
AGE: Geared for anyone 18+ who wish to learn more about the concepts and terminology of estate planning. Take your first step towards your creating your own estate plan!
